Another question: some system info is saying that there is a dedicated 1gb (or 512mb) RAM chip. some system info gives an additional partition on the ROM (1.5-2GB) that has "RAM". some system info says that there is a "swap disk" that contributes to RAM.

It is possible to have a small RAM and some contribution from a "swap disk"?

I've filed a dispute about one item on AliExpress (reversing cam stated as being for a Mitsubishi 380 that doesn't actually fit in the place it's meant to).

Stated I would not return the goods. Wanted a refund. The seller very apologetic and immediately issued a refund, with comments showing fearful of bad feedback.

I have found many sellers on Ebay the same.. Really keen on positive feedback.

If you buy something from overseas that is say $20, if it arrives defective, you are unlikely going to send it back, as the price to send back via NZ post will likely be higher than what you paid. But with Aliexpress, you are unlikely to get a refund if you don't send it back.

You just have to stick to your guns. Sellers will attempt to trick you into thinking you have to return the item. Just tell them to provide a return postage ticket. They are obliged to pay for returns site to their errors. I've found the site fully protects the buyer. Alixpress won't pay the seller until you are satisfied. It's pretty easy to provide photo evidence of your problem.

Provide good evidence. It is up to an alixpress employee to judge who is in the wrong. They might be non technical and poor English. Photos are best.

Ideally you can reach an agreement with the seller that makes you happy. Obviously a crappy Tablet has some value so you might be able to negotiate a partial refund so the seller isn't completely out of pocket.

There is a way you can contact alixpress to hurry them along. From memory you can't normal contact them.

Ps. Don't get trickled into agreeing the claim is settled until is actually settled. They get no money until either you click is settled or ali makes a ruling.
