I managed to narrow it down to the right idea thanks to Maggotman's clue (I had briefly explored this idea earlier and he confirmed it), but it still took time to actually go through all the items of the same idea.

 

 

Even with these clues, I am at a loss looking for "Hot or Not". Will happily trade clues. I've got them all except this infernal Hot or Not lol

It's not an item most people would have, want or related to any brand people would know. BUT you'll definitely know it when you see it!

The way I found it: searched a word related to 'hot' in the department I knew it would be in.

As mentioned by others in this thread, when I found hot or not, it was thanks to smojojo's hint. Was slowly losing my grip and wanted to set fire to my computer.

I finally found hot or not.......... the relief is palpable!!!!

according to google, Hamilton can be a place, a name, a kind of circuit and a musical. It could be anything!
