Call my wife to bring the other car (if reasonably close), otherwise call the AA.

Flat car battery - we have jumper leads so find someone helpful to jump-start, or worst case call the AA (wife's car) or State Roadside Rescue (company car).

Flat phone battery - plug it into the 5V USB port in the car.  If not near the park, try to suppress the urge to panic and learn to live without my phone for a few hours....!   O_o

This battery unit would be awesome to have handy though.  Would probably keep it in my wife's car as she is the most likely to get a flat battery given her car is older and has a smaller battery than mine.  I can also see it being great for keeping phones/cameras topped up when we go camping.

jumper cables are always in the boot of the car, but often with nothing convenient to connect them to! 

its a long wait for the AA then...

wouldn't dream of calling the wife to bring the second car out, with kids in tow - its just not worth it :)

Two years in a row the car broke down coming back from the family camping holiday .. in between (and traveling all over the place) it never missed a beat :), that Car (300,000km on the clock) got sold (as is where is) and my wife and I upgraded from AA membership (nearest garage) to AA plus membership (get your car home).

Flat Batteries .. I call the AA (funnily enough the AA guy who lives across the road works in another area, but has come the rescue once).

Depends on which car I was using, my wife's car has jumper leads in it, so would try and find a friendly local around, otherwise in my car there isn't any leads, so would call my wife.

So would be a great tool!

Depenes where it died. I have a spare car battery in the garage at home, but I'd call a mate if I was out.

Would come in useful. I would usually call the AA for a flat battery. It's happened several times when I've been away for a week or more and get back and the car won't start.

With my old manual car, I drove it for a week with a dead battery, by making sure I parked it on a hill, and just letting gravity 'push start' it. Lucky I live in Wellington where there are lots of hills to park on. . Our new car comes with free roadside assistance, so would us that, but this would come in handy for emergencies or charging mobiles.

Simple really although this would impact the G&T situation, hmm.....................

I need this, my truck is in need of a jump start.

Here is our current car starting kit below... We have a five year old also who has little respect for leaving car doors open so they get a bit of use.
