It equally illustrates that wages rise too slowly.
However, we spend so much time stifling progress every time anyone suggests something that will get things moving along a bit that I wonder sometimes whether NZ as a whole genuinely wants things to change at all....
I shall cite as examples the significant objections to the Wellington runway extension, the latest attempt by Forest & Bird to kill off the Ruataniwha Dam and the endless navel gazing on whether the three parochial local bodies in the Wairarapa should become one.
