3 Wise Men shirts are quite nice... but ultimately you pay a fair amount for them.

Remembering that better quality shirts should stay looking good for longer. However quality and price aren't always directly correlated.

Re: Smiths City's VHS tapes.

This is the exact reason why they should get out of TV / computers etc and stick to carpet, furniture and kayaks.

Well, maybe not kayaks.

It seems that the 3 Wise Men shop at Christchurch airport is either closed for good,or being fitted out again (hardly likely).  Completely boarded up with the temporary door thing like empty shops at a mall. They didn't even last a full three months. The closest I saw to them having a customer was a guy browsing some shoes that they had right at the entrance.  Shirts were $100 each & similarly expensive combo deals.

It must be closed for good because a Google search goes to a dead link for the airport site, while the cached version does show the 3 Wise Men Shop.

I have couple of 3 Wise men shirts.  They don't actually last that well for me - cuff and collar wear seem to be issues.

I am amazed at how good the stitching and button attachment is on some very very cheap shirts. The fabric might be cheap but the workmanship is first class.

I now buy all my shirts from an independent tailor on Dixon St.  Nice shirts, great prices.
