I have a question.

Can you apply for a passport without having the print date? Say for example since the passport processing is taking to slow now, applying for a normal passport (not emergency) without the citizenship number, then hoping by the time the passport is processed that they will have your print date.

I hope this makes sense.

you can but it is risky , it is better to wait for print date and apply for urgent one , this what I did

my print date was 11/March and I applied on 11th/march at 12:10am and got mine on 16/March

Thanks Thaer89, but they keep saying up to 2 months. I have a close relative that needs urgent surgery and it's impossible to make travel arrangements to be there without knowing anything.

You are lucky u got yours in 2 weeks, can't understand why they just can't give u a rough estimate atleast

Hi All,

Quick question..

Could someone tell, whether all of the Citizenship applications goes to minister for approval or only the applications with special circumstances such as Presence Reduction Schedule?

Cheers...

I think try message them next week , what I understand from them , people who handle printing and sending certificate is out of work due to omicron outbreak , that why they don't give any date for now

Actually I still didn't my certificate yet , they told me they don't have anyone to send it yet , they will send it next week

There are tens of thousands of citizenship applications annually. They definitely do not all go straight to the minister's desk. Even many of those special discretions don't.
