You are questioned about a crime.No court is involved yet only another person or persons.If thay think you did it then bingo your charged.You then must prove to the court that that person was rong and you are inocent.We are condtioned from birth not to see the obvious but to belive in the fantacy being throwen up.Example.The police cary guns but we cary weponds.(I beleve the police should be armed by the way).The general concensus is we have more money and time than you so drop it and ecept your position in this economy as a worker and do as we say.To get compensation is a long drawen out prosses that a lot of peaple dont want to go into.Unfortunatly most people dont realise a lawer is not nessasary a lot of the time.The law does work,it just takes forever to acheeve a result.People who want compensation should say to themselves,kick back,slow way down and put aside years not monthes.Do the paperwork and wait.DONT use the phone.

Yes the wheels of justice move slowly, it's not ideal, do you have a solution or are you just wanting to complain about it?
If it moved fast, you would be complaining of rail roading the poor victims.
You can't be 'let off on a technicality' - the law does not work that way.
This simply isn't true. If you committed a rape, DNA showed it was you 100%, but a Tech mishandles the evidence in some way (Lets say chain of custody,which couldn't affect the result), and the law doesn't allow this evidence to be shown as evidence that would convict you, and as a result you walk free, having committed said crime, then you got away with a crime on a technicality.
It does NOT mean you are innocent, it does NOT mean the victim wasn't raped.
We are getting a little of the subject here.Im not very good at putting my words into practice.The law is no compensation.Im mearly trying to give a picture of our legal structer.Not complaning at all.Insted of compensation ,as others have so rightly said ,ther is prosess of rembersment for ronfull imprisonment.The reason is why change it now when its been working for a couple hundred years.Lets have a referendum and we will ignore the results and leave it as is.
