I think some of the latest hacks are more like kludges... wiping detergent/soap onto something sort-of works until the next time you wipe it down. OTOH using something like Ceraclen for cook tops or any random automotive antifogging product like RainX for bathroom mirrors does the job properly, and lasts for more than one wipe-down.

Fit a showerdome or steam stopper to the shower to stop mirror misting.

Milk powder makes decent milk! I only discovered this week when I ran out of milk and found a bag of milk powder in the pantry.

It was delicious, I kept using what I had made up even after we purchased milk.

Powders are great

Buy soap powder, add water to get soap

Buy milk powder, add water to get milk

Then there's baby powder...

I did that once on a small section of the bathroom mirror with rainx ... didn't seem to do anything for the steam.  i did use a very small amount mind you, i was testing to make sure there wasn't any reaction somehow

It tastes even better if you leave it overnight after mixing.

De-solv-it is great for removing all sorts of sticker residues, marks etc.

Also good for loosening sticking plasters from skin. Found this out when removing 14 sticky patches from hairy back and chest after an ECG.

wait, what?
have you seen the warnings on the bottle!
- it’s not good for your skin...or to let it seep into your blood stream....

but agree De Solv It, is the best for getting rid of nearly anything sticky...

Just not for something brown and sticky - like a stick.

Hi Goosey. Your bottle must be different to ours.

The label on the back list suitable uses, one of which is "Sticking Plasters".

The only warning is not to swallow it, or get it in your eyes.

And yes, I did the unblokey thing of reading the labels before using it.

When buying bread buy another an put it in the freezer, once you finish the first loaf pop the other in the fridge and put bread on the shopping list and continue the cycle.

It's even better if you consume it in the state it was squirted out of the cow from.

Not even one loaf, I have multiple in the freezer so I never run out. Just watch out for freezer burn, but apart from that it's no different after a few days in the fridge or a few weeks in the freezer.

Forget buying rinse aid for your dishwasher.
White vinegar works just as well for a fraction of the cost.
