They have never used Singpost for CD before. I know that service well, and have avoided it like the plague.

Given that they're always shipped from somewhere in China, what's their involvement in the process? Are they just clipping the ticket for some sub-Yanwen mail service?

I buy a crap ton of stuff from Aliexpress and am at their (mostly pointless) diamond tier. I don't pay much notice who I use for shipping because I've had good and bad experiences with all of them, I've ordered the same products from the same supplier using the same shipping service and had vastly different delivery times. As long as it has tracking and the estimated delivery time isn't excessive I don't worry. I'm far more concerned with the integrity of the seller. Everyone using aliexpress should google "aliexpress scams" and familiarise themselves with them and how to avoid them. Never withdraw a dispute, don't accept paypal refunds, dont fall for lucky dips, watch out for 5star feedback that has all been posted on the same day etc.

Am seeing a new thing on there with products with a low price in search results and a higher one on the products.

Usually this is them listing a USB cable or something as one of the options, but recently have seen things where there are only legit choices on there, but all at the higher price that the search results had as the upper end of the range, with no option for the low priced product.

Crap like that just makes me avoid that seller altogether.

That's almost universal in woodworking and machine tools, here's a lathe for $8.32 and when you click on the image you find that it's a two- or three-option sale, the $8.32 is for the 5/32" pilfer grommet that goes on the end of the spindle gudgeon and the lathe itself is $972.40 with $568.20 shipping fees. Its so bad that any item of any value has no useful price associated with it until you click through to the actual page it's on and select the real item, not the misleading-price teaser.

What's the most reliable shipping at the moment, Ali Express Standard or Cainiao?

AliExpress Standard. I've had mixed results with Cainiao.

Ordered some UV Tubes for the pond filter on the 9th of this Month, currently Out for Delivery with NZPost Courier!

AliExpress Standard (NOT Combined) Shipping.

Got 5 incl. delivery for less than half price for 1 here!

Yeah but now it's just missing the cheap option altogether. I'm wondering if it's like back when they had the ships from option and they would put one item in Russia or something that was really cheap but out of stock but I can't see that now since the removal of the option.

Just makes me find another seller of the same thing or give up and go to Banggood instead

Had two orders arrive last week. In my hands 8 days after ordering.

Neither of them was free freight though, but the total price including freight for both was only a tiny (less than 2%) bit more than other sellers offering free freight.

I just checked the tracking of another combined package, which is being transited via Sydney.

Seems like CD is becoming a pot-luck lottery.

I think their timezone is called The Future 😁 I wonder if they'll let me have their crystal ball...

They must be available somewhere! NZPost regularly has future dates too!

Speaking of Aliexpress, does anyone know anything useful you can do with their coins? Various online forums indicate that they're completely useless in practice (e.g. you can spend a pile of coins to get ten cents off something that you could otherwise get $5 off by buying from the different vendor), and personal experience is also that they're useless, but I thought I'd ask in case anyone has figured out what you can do with them.
