freitasm: I never called it a Start Button. Always called it Windows Key. The Start Button was on the screen, not on the keyboard ;)

I don't disagree, windows key is probably the best name for it. Although some keyboards do call it the 'start' key,and I used to have one with the same button as the image below, and it was a microsoft keyboard too. Hence why I often refer to it as a start button

This is our existing Dynalink ISP supplied router. It tends to drop the connection regularly (though it has improved since I installed a master splitter).

One day I'll get around to finishing all my network cabling behind the router. It's a bit of a rat's nest there presently.

My old trusty WRT-54GL with DD-WRT on its last legs now, constantly drops connection and needs to be reset, antenna has come loose too lol.

1st to go would be sun standard stock DELL keyboard, keys stick and ridiculously long travel ugh

2nd to go would be 2nd Thomson_TG585_v8 I got from Telecom, 1st died and despite numerous efforts this one seems limited, never thought of hanging it vertically though :)

PS. tried uploading images from my Transformer prime to my profile gallery but did not seem to upload although got all the way there?? Ones hopefully above were from a PC.

I would love to upgrade to the Linksys EA6500. My current modem/router, the Thompson TG585v7, that I got a few years back constantly reboots itself whenever it feels like it. It also tends to get quite hot, hence the pens underneath it in hopes of increasing airflow.

Keen on that fantastic new router! Have a Thomson, where the wireless dies after just one wall.. so ended up adding a D-Link Dir-600 which has improved but hmmm need more speed!

My current wireless keyboard/mouse combo which is 4 years old.. is now just a keyboard! The mouse would no longer charge so it's now in the garage :( So use a wired mouse.. with a wireless keyboard :/

Would be good to replace this ancient Compaq keyboard, keys are now a little sticky after someone dribbled some coke onto it.

If I win, the router will be replacing my old Dynalink RTA1025W on routing duty. While the Dynalink is still a great modem, it's not so good when it comes to its other duties: it frequently crashes and restarts when it has more than a few wireless devices connected at the same time, the old G radio doesn't keep up with our streaming (1080p from NAS) demands, and the same goes for the 100Mb/s switch.

Can anyone tell me who the manufacturer of my keyboard is/was?

I was expecting a plain vanilla setup when I ordered my first PC back in the 90s; but this keyboard takes that to a new level. No manufacturer's model no.; logo or any other markings. The only reason its survived is because its a reliable mechanical one, where all its successors thru the years died.
However Im looking forward to replacing it with another even more reliable one.

My Orcon Genius modem can be seen lurking in the background. It goes back at the end of the contract.

Well the backspace button on my Logitech wireless keyboard only works occasionally after hitting it several times so a new keyboard could come in handy. On a side note the right click on my Logitech wireless mouse also doesn't work.
