MikeB4: Do you guys really eat this stuff for breakfast?

I have what I have eaten most of my life Cereal or Rolled Oats and the later being the only cooked breakfast I can handle.

Sure. Not every day by any means - or even every month - but from time to time.

Does not beat fried eggs, bacon, fried bread, baked beans, Cumberland sausage, Black Pudding, toast and tea though...! surprised

There is a cafe in the UK that serves something called the "Kid's Breakfast". They call it this because it weighs 9lbs...!

12 rashers of bacon
12 sausages
Six eggs
Four black pudding slices
Four slices of bread and butter
Four slices of toast
Four slices of fried bread
Two hash browns
Eight-egg cheese and potato omelette
Saute potatoes
Mushrooms
Beans
Tomatoes

It contains 6,000 calories and costs $30.

If you eat it all (alone!) you get it free.

Good lord my colon would explode ??

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

PhantomNVD: Damn, now THAT's a breakfast!

Would love the challenge of getting it free, but probably about 20 years late for that amount of food to fit in one meal 😳

Agreed: that is a serious morning after student breakfast!

I like the price: I'd pay $22 for about tenth of that much food in the cafes locally!!

I could not do it for free as I can't stand tomatoes. There's no rule that says you CAN'T share it (I don't think) so if you split it between several of you it is monstrous VFM!

I've not been back for a few years now but next time I do, I may find my way to Great Yarmouth where Jesters is and see what the fuss is about!

The trial breakfast at other McDs did not include anything with a sausage patty in it.

For me, the Sausage & Egg Mcmuffin is the (admittedly low-ish) pinnacle of fast food breakfast offerings.

The Bacon & Egg McMuffin just can't compare.....

Agreed. I have been known to buy two and add the sausage and cheese from one to the other one!

Or buy the Massive McMuffin......but prior to the Massive, an S&E Mcmuffin + Sausage McMuffin was the discount breakfast equivalent of 2 x cheeseburger -> throw-away-a-bun (presto: discount QuarterPounder).

But I fondly remember my first visit to the first Mcdonalds in Thunder Bay, Ontario in October, 1970. Barely 400m metres from my intermediate school.

Hamburger? 15c

Cheeseburger? 20c

Small fries? 15c

Big Mac? 50c.

This was long before combos.

You could have a Big Mac, cheeseburger, small fries and a small coke for $1.05 .........46 years ago. (oh crap.....)

(Bearing in mind the minimum wage in Ontario back then was about $1.45 / hour...if that. Thats what I got when I got my first after-school job in 1974).

Inflation is a scary thing.

Sometimes it blows my mind that one day a loaf of bread will be a million dollars.

Only 1 million dollars?

Price of mcmeal would be 30,000Rp in Jakarta.

Price of bread ... 35 million dollars in Zimbabwe.

Yes but currently $3.65 here...so a million would be a lot.

Median house price in Auckland then will be $10 billion!
