Recently bought a gopro hero 4 black because they had a huge discount, only to realise the next gen was coming out in few weeks....

I currently use my gopro as my dashcam when I'm on the road. Good quality 4k at 30fps but terrible battery life and it is virtually useless during low light....

This is the set up i take with me when I drive.

I have a Marbella U-Nav which combines a dash cam with GPS. Problem is overheating and no ability to replace the worn out battery which is not available for this model. Dark coloured casing does not help with the overheating problem- a life-shortening design problem in common with most dark-coloured devices. Why don't manufacturer's make light-coloured devices?

No current system unfortunately but a Navman dash am would be a good start to tha car pool!

Yeah, I'll make a dash for that cam, mostly because I don't have a dashcam. It would be just great to put that cam on that dash, just in case there was a crash with evidence needed on the cam.

No pictures, sorry, but a picture of that non-existing dashcam is just a bit too boring.

Time I improved my cabin space with one of the new fangled smaller dashcams. This one takes up more space than ideal.

My only dash cam is my dog, and he cheats strictly speaking by sitting on the spare seat. He does bark warnings though. I would post a picture but he is shy.

I don't have a dashcam but I'd sure love one. I put a few km's on the odo in the company car and I've witnessed some pretty god-awful behaviour on the roads!!

My Vodafone Smart Ultra 6 no doubt makes a poor cam, particularly on the default HD video resolution. However I do use it after I fried my old Vodafone Smart Ultra 6 *and* TomTom off a dodgy USB ciggie adapter (24V truck mind). It's now my car navigator, and works better than the TomTom anyway, with internet traffic updates. I use Here Now maps - shows my speed, but sometimes use the built in Google Maps navigator (which doesn't show my speed!), but does provide better navigation for more obscure places.
