To get built-up grease off range hoods, dampen a cloth so it won't absorb anything else, then put a small squirt of dishwashing liquid on it and rub the grease with the dishwashing liquid. It pretty much dissolves in the liquid, and then you just wipe it down with a damp cloth.

This is in contrast to the standard soap/detergent+warm water elbow workout that you need to apply to get it off, the magic seems to be taking the water out of the equation.

I think you've got Edge and Edge confused.

Even better, buy liquid sugar soap from Bunnings and use instead of dishwash liquid. Really cuts through grease. It’s also good for soaking the filters in.

When moving house, put the clothes hanging in your wardrobe in a rubbish bag. Grab a bunch of em by the coat hanger, put a bag over em from the top, then poke a hole for the top of the hangers.

Milk powder makes decent milk! I only discovered this week when I ran out of milk and found a bag of milk powder in the pantry.

It was delicious, I kept using what I had made up even after we purchased milk.

I actually use the milk frother from my Nespresso machine to mix it. Makes it nice and even. Also has health implications as it is actually is the better milk as it usually has not been irradiated or UHT. That may make it better digestible for people that have milk sensitivities.

Even better, mix a small bowl of water and baking soda, not too a paste, but a solid watery mixture, paint it on with a paintbrush. Finger check after a few minutes to make sure its dissolved the grease, and wipe off with paper towels, easy. I then give it a squirt with white vinegar to neutralise the baling soda as leftover residue will go chalky. Then wipe off, and shine it up.  This is a very effective and elbow grease free task. Maybe a damp cloth of dishwash is a good idea too to act as a barrier.

Has anybody got a good tip for cleaning the glass in shower cubicles?

Don't let it get dirty in the first place VitroGlaze - Protective coatings/treatments for glass & showers

We had the above done to our shower glass two years ago and it's still like new.

If you've got mineral deposits stuck to the glass try a razor blade

We have used a similar thing, Diamond Fusion. I don't recommend that particular solution at least.

I don't see any problem with Edge, it's just another Chrome these days

Another alternative - Chuck them in the dishwasher every month or two.

No elbow grease required, works really well.

Normally do this, then do the dishwasher cleaning tablet on the next cycle. Sometimes these things can be super super greasy.

What sort of dishwasher do you have that you can fit a range hood into it?

I think he meant carwash. Strap it to a roof rack and drive thru.

@CokemonZ

Ignore the haters mate.

I guess the working classes can't afford a decent rangehood like you and I can, one with filters that simply clip out and in and simply sit amongst the dirty plates 😜

Sometimes I use big words I don't always fully understand in an effort to make myself sound more photosynthesis.
