Damager:langers1972:joker97: how about a soo-broo im-pret-zah wrx sti (said in a tiff needell accent)
You'll find that it's pretty much a Kiwi only thing to use the Soo Bar Roo pronunciation, it was one thing I really noticed when I arrived from the UK along with Mar-own for maroon. FFS you don't blow up a Ba-lown
When I went to Australia for the first time. I thought it was a joke when they pronounced it soobiroo and thought it was so it could rhyme with kangaroo. Then came back to NZ and couldn't convince anyone that soobiroo is the correct one haha.
alasta: Avensis?

Most outside NZ pronounce it Soobooroo. We had a Jap working with us and that's how she pronounced it as well..
