How to tell Windows that I don’t want the new SEPT format in place of SEP?
I was looking at something today with "Sept" in there and thought I was going nuts!
Who the heck thought that was a good idea and how did they get it changed?
I spent a bit of time looking at it this morning. All signs point to it happening "upstream" via the Unicode Consortium, but I can't find any reference whatsoever as to the why. Even the official release notes for the version of Unicode that introduced the change don't mention it at all.

Yeah. Had a poke around myself with no success.....
Shall we make a submission to the Unicode Consortium to get the change reversed?
boosacnoodle:
Yes it will work.
Confirmed, all good. Thanks :)
Why can’t headphones have a Bluetooth in low power mode to allow them to be turned on, on-demand by the device they’re paired with?
I was window shopping for an upcoming trip, went to simcorner.com and this popped up:

Simcorner sells...well...cellphone SIMs. Why would a webshop like that want to snoop around and connect to other devices? (I happen to be at work and that would potentially be thousands of device, although it's a bit like Fort Knox and probably wouldn't get far.)
Is this a red flag of some sort, did I do right by backing out. I've bought of them before and found them good but things like this give me the heebyjeebies and puts me off using them again.
Edit, I was on a Windows laptop using Chrome.
Sometimes I use big words I don't always fully understand in an effort to make myself sound more photosynthesis.

More to the point, to find them. If a tile can last for a year on that pathetic little cell, then there should be enough left in a headphone to locate it when it's too flat to play audio and do ANC for a while.

You did right. If you can't see a good reason for you for something to get permissions, deny it. My default is for anything that wants my location to not get it. Likewise to send me notifications.
Yeah I also never give anything away unless there is a clear, specific reasons for it.
Plesse igmore amd axxept applogies in adbance fir anu typos

Has anyone used the J5create wedge style USB-C dock? I think it somehow killed the battery or charge circuit on two laptops, two different locations. I only supply the HP G5 nowadays
It seems Apple has recently stopped selling its brilliant World Travel Adapter Kit. This kit had seven different interchangeable figure-8 'duckheads' that you can swap on Apple's compatible charging adapters to suit many different countries. It was very reasonably-priced at $55 - but no longer available on the Apple Store.
Now why would they do that? The cynic in me thinks it’s because it may result in higher sales of more expensive adapters specific to individual countries.
The odd thing is some stores in NZ still have them. I bought two kits from JB HiFi today and they say they’re going to continue selling them - not just running down existing stock. JB have them too.
Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.
When we first arrived in NZ over 20 years ago, Crayfish was, whilst not exactly common, relatively easily found in restaurants, shops etc. Always expensive but not rarer than hen’s teeth.
It occurred to me recently that I cannot even remember the last time I saw it on a restaurant menu (outside of a tiny number of places in and around Kaikoura anyway) at all, much less in live tanks. Nor do I recall when I last saw it in a supermarket. I’ve seen Maine lobsters more often than crayfish in recent years.
Why has it disappeared?

May be due to high export prices pricing it off the market here.
