Hold your finger on the notification?

Thanks. That does indeed work. You'd think swiping left or right would show you all the available options, yet here we are.

Yes, but as it's from about a year ago it may or may not be still valid.

I'm in Wellington, but if you've got $10 for shipping I can have it on a courier tomorrow and it should be there Friday depending on how backup up your local courier is. Let me know by ~2PM.

I can pull the SIM out of the packet and check it's still live.

How are our Geekzoners in Dubai holding up with all the rain? It seems like there's been a fair bit over the last couple of days or so. Rather severe weather it seems. Okay over there @Handle9 and family? Anyone else in the area?

I'm actually in central Oman so managed to dodge it again. Apparently it was pretty wet and a bit of flooding but nothing like the stormpocalypse a 18 months or so ago.

FWIW this was our sunset from the top of the dunes last night when we stayed in the desert not far from Bidiyah.

Is discussing buying and selling of shares on a public forum illegal/unethical?

If you are not doing a pump and dump... And don't make it financial advice.

So probably?

Specifically I'm looking for shares to buy and sell and make profits in short term periods.  I've successfully done it twice this year (one was crowdstrike!) but looking for others to help me find the next one.  At this stage I'm only doing it for fun with small amounts of money. (<$100).

It’s much the same as gambling. If you are doing it for fun with money you can afford to lose go for your life.

If you are doing it with money you rely on it’s a really bad idea. Also do bear in mind your profits are taxable as you are a trader not a long term investor.

Also bear in mind if someone is giving you a tip on a stock ask yourself why they aren’t just investing themselves instead.

Wanting to buy an Amazon Echo Spot. Noel Leeming, Pb etc have them around $161-9

Mighty Ape, Dick Smith, Kogan have them for $127  is it ok to buy from them and will it be covered if faulty?

Techinthebasket in Aust have them for $112. Thoughts appreciated.

I've purchased Google products through Dick Smith Kogan and had good warranty service from them.

I don't know how Amazon does region settings. Sometimes it's better to purchase from NZ retailers for that reason. It's not a problem with most things.

Anything from DS/Kogan I'd say allow two to three weeks for delivery and you won't be disappointed.

Edit: Techinthebasket never heard of them. Some of the phrases on their about us page are kind of weird and scary
