Rikkitic:
Indiana Jones is fun entertainment but hardly great film-making. I just can't suspend disbelief when a medieval knight stuck in a cave for hundreds of years starts speaking perfect English. Miracles are one thing but this just takes it too far.
I don't think it tries to realistic. The German fighter that scoots along beside them in the tunnel sans wings? I think it's a wonderful film, it moves along at a good pace, Connery is brilliant in it.
As an aside, a friend in a whatsapp group pointed out he'd watched almost none of the mainstream films that the rest of us had seen. So he's spent the lockdown watching Arnie and Stallone films, Aliens, Die Hard films (how has no one seen any of the Die Hards!), Indiana Jones etc.
He's going to give us a ranking once we reach the end of lockdown.
Edit again. And he's seen none of Tarantino's films either.
