Just when we thought the extra staff would help speed up the applications, now we're going to have further delays due to lockdown. Stay safe everyone!

I doubt if they do in Level 4, although as they claimed the new system which is API based should allow them work from home. But who knows!!! Have you seen this petition? I believe nothing is like the power of people, so use this link to reach out to your MPs and share the pain with them. Share the petition and share your concerns. This situation cannot be just from Covid, the numbers really don't add up, we had significantly fewer number of applications compared to last few years and yet still we have these delays.

My wife and I started the process today - I unfortunately am stuck at the online identity check piece - it's saying I've done it when I click the link and then the overall application status is stalled at Identity Check required.

So frustrating.

Edit: tried calling - contact centre is closed due to lockdown.

Right - got through the issue by both emailing them and stating that I could not complete an online identity check - hopefully that won't slow the process.

Got to the end, paid and it says "we'll contact you in 5-10 months"

The clock is ticking...

We applied in January this year and not heard anything yet. It's taking 9-14 months.

Yes the confirmation email stated 9-14 months.

I'm in no hurry.

Not yet but I'm hopeful this will happen - Im not a big fan of ceremonies :D

They did this last lockdown but they could decide to postpone it by a few weeks.

I will post on the thread if they contact me about this.

Thanks that would be great! I was contacted a couple of days ago (10 months and one day since my application was submitted) to confirm details so hopefully not long now :)

or - depending on your religious sensibilities

(I went looking for a non-religious statement and this is what I found.)
