Pylon is a write-off and was/will be scrapped.

Doesn't look like there's a specific date for installation of the new one.

I'm sure transpower would like to get their spare Lindsey tower back reasonably soon as apparently at the time of the failure, three of the six North Island Lindsey towers were already in use.

Investigation finds Transpower ‘failed to act’ before downed pylon killed power to Northland

Not a whole lot of new information there, but this sticks out to me:

“Transpower failing to act on these opportunities has led to terrible consequences for the people of Northland but there is also evidence that the removal of all nuts from more than one tower leg was not a one-off event,” Brown said.

i'm not surprised one bit that they say that. they would have been doing it for a long time and more than likely had the odd near miss at some stage.
