vinnieg: Oh yeah, to those who don't have Xbox Live Gold, it's on special 3 months for $12.99 on the Xbox home page(on your Xbox itself, not your PC)

Thats only the first 3 months though, so normal price would apply after that? What do you actually get for that in NZ? It doesn't appear that xboxs twitter app will work without it, which sort of sucks, as twitter is free to use anyway. Thetwitter app on the sony TV is free to use, so a bit checky of MS to put that behind the paywall, especially when we have purchased the xbox. Doesn't appear to be too many apps for NZers on the xbox apart from twitter and facebook.

That is correct, you don't actually get all that much to be honest.  Mostly the online gaming and ability to try out free games.  and the twitter/FB apps, if you really want them

I've probably got a contract coming up in Australia in the next year, Xbox Live gives you Foxtel for $20 over there(about 15 channels, some good ones)

Coming from my PS3 and having to pay for multiplayer does suck a bit though

I have moved across the ditch.  Now residing in Melbourne as a VOIP/Video Technical Trainer/Engineer.

<Sigh>. We are just so ripped off here in NZ. Yeah, I know you can do the VPN circumvention thing, but that's not really the point ....

Hi everyone. Did anyone happen to buy a PS3/Sony Internet TV/Sony BD home theatre equipment from JB/B&B/Noel Leeming/Sony during the sales?

As per: http://www.vodafone.co.nz/specials-promos/sony-joiners-credit/

You were supposed to receive a voucher/token giving you $100 credit if you become a new Vodafone fixed line broadband customer.

Does anyone happen to have a voucher that they have no intention of using? I would love one for a family member. Would be really appreciative if anyone has one spare that they won't use. Cheers.
