Hi all, I'm Dairusire, Long time poster on GPForums.

I need some help in getting some info on Kiwilink, for example are they a good service provider etc.
They seem like their pretty under the radar on the Telco scale of things. I only heard of them from my tutor at AMES.

Could anyone help me with this. Would be much appreciated.

I'm also hoping to move from Slingshot to these guys for VDSL2 (I'm over ADSL2 speeds).

Thank you.

They're quite expensive for what they have to offer, you could get premium grade vdsl2 from Unleash (contact them http://www.unleash.co.nz/contact-us/) for cheaper imo, and they've got a pretty good rep on Geekzone (I know Zeon uses? them)

They seem interesting, but unfortunately I require phone service's aswell, so that would rule out Unleash :(

Yeah Voip would fit the bill. Was looking at it anyway.

Heres basically what I was going to do with the switch:

1. Use their unlimited national data for $20, in conjunction with a VPN thats here in NZ that also got unlimited data usage.

2. Use VoIP to drop phone call prices etc.

3. Enjoy?

In all seriousness I would rather go with snap (better rep) if they could do the same.

Like many small VoIP resellers they're just using 2talk, you may find prices are better going straight to 2talk.

I'm current on snap VDSL + 2talk and it's working like a charm; I'd highly recommend it. Snap also resell voip I think.

Sounds good, do you know what 2Talks flex bundle is?  Also what speeds do you get on VDSL2?

Not sure what flex is; I'm just on 2talk10 I think with an extra local number. Speeds on VDSL are very much dependant on your line and distance to cabinet\exchange, but I sync at 34mbit\10mbit and actual throughput on local speedtests is around 32mbit\9.4mbit.

Have a look in the snap forums for more results\screenshots\etc. There a stickied VDSL performance thread in there :)

I couldn't say enough nice things about Kiwilink. We have a couple of customers who use their VDSL services and they are so so good to deal with. One of the tech guys even gave me his DDI. How many companies are prepared to do that these days?! The service is solid and if there is a problem you will get great support. Only possible bad point is that support isn't 24/7 only monday-friday.
Can't comment on their VoIP service as we don't use it.
