Hi Peoples,

I hope someone here can help me.

I have the Telecom 302G and a WRT54G wireless router. I know just enough to get myself in trouble and flashed the firmware on the 302G and so I could set about putting it into hald bridge mode, which is what everyone seems to reccomend on various forums that came up from googling the issue. (that and the fact that its not working very well with DHCP on both the 302G and the WRT54G)

Anyway I have set it to PAP, PPPoA, and typed in the username and password for Xtra. Could someone please talk me through the rest?

I would be so appreciative.

Can i ask for what reason you want to go the half bridge way, do you really need the linksys to be your
router? unless there is a reason why you would need to do this, i really wouldnt bother and just set it up
normally

I Think what you want to do is that

302G -> WRT54G(1) ))))))(((((( WRT54G(2) -> PC

In that case you need to set WRT54G(1) as normal wireless router and set WRT54G(2) as bridge mode.

I'm using 1 cheap wireless router as wireless router and 2 custom firmwared WRT54G to connect internet to lounge and upstairs.

The reason I wanted to do half bridge mode is because:
(a) the wrt54g has far more options in terms of a firewall
(b) it just wasnt working the way it is (no dhcp between the dlink and the linksys) - having said that I have flashed out the xtra firmware and it works now :-)
