I would say they probably are. SKY in the UK is very different to SKY in new zealand.
Also the sky dish in New Zealand points up, while the internet dishes point to (since farmside bought out tuaropaki) the horizon and needs to be larger than a sky dish. Its also horribly expensive.
You are better off finding out who your local fixed-wireless ISP is in your area. There is one in every region around the country now.
