So i know there are probably quite a few of these threads, but not any recent ones.

Basically looking into trying netflix or hulu. My ISP is telecom.
Does the unblock-us dns work with telecom ?

I saw in a previous thread that it wont work with ISPS who use transparent proxies.

Also which one would you recommend out of the two ?

Thanks Geeks

Well I would recommend both, Netflix is paid and Hulu is free, but has Hulu+ which is paid. Both are good.

Can't answer your other questions sorry.

Well, Telecom have a transparent proxy so I doubt it would work reliably.

What about signing up with Slingshot? They have it all configured for you. :)

I can confirm Netflix works fine on a Apple TV via Telecom and Unblock US. I haven't signed up for Hulu (yet) but assume it will be fine.

Cheers

I recommend Vudu as well, I use it on our Roku 3 in addition to Netflix and Hulu+ and it's awesome.

using netflix and bbc iplayer via unblock-us on telecom. works fine.
I did trial hulu and it worked fine too, but hated sitting through ads so much I cancelled it and stuck with netflix.

Download the mediahint addon for firefox or chrome.. no configuring needed, you will be browsing netflix etc in under a minute.
No need for unblock us, and its free.

i use Hola unblocker add-on for Chrome . just install it and your away . They are adding more channels but i have 11, from itv and channel 4 in the UK, to netfix hulu and most other US networks. Free.

Just want to add that I am runing Netflix US on Telecom too and works great (via PS3, laptop & desktop)

Bonus- found out you can stream more than one movie/show at same time on one account from two devices. My wife watches her movie and I watch something else on my tablet (when I set that up)

Forgot to say - am using Uno Telly - similar service to Unblock-US
