johnr: You should not be moving the ONT I think you are going to be in for the bill for the time / repair
PoHq: You won't be last to do it nor the first. I have attended a similar fault. The fibres in the hybrid cable were basically hanging out from the ONT when I arrived and the guy maintained he hadn't touched it.
This particular fault was billed at 3 hours labour. How much is labour? I don't know. That's between Chorus and the RSP or customer.
You say you have broken the cable? Which cable? The yellow pigtail which plugs into the ONT? Or the cable behind the ONT? Where have you broken it? At the splice? Or before the splice. Without further info maybe a pic or 2 it's impossible to gauge a cost.
You could be looking at 1 hour's labour just a quick re splice or the whole run of hybrid may need replacing. How much distance between the ETP on side of house and the HONT?
The last thing you need to hear right now is "you shouldn't have moved it" I think you know that, so post back some more info maybe some pics and I'll try and give you a rough idea of the time involved.
Cheers

PoHq: It's the yellow cable which is called the pigtail. By the looks of it from the pic the tech will just need to splice a new pigtail onto the blue fibre. Nothing TO involved. As I say that's just from the one pic. A pic of the whole ONT would show more.
