Someone fell off the road this evening. What's one of these worth? It's only been in a few months! Pleased I'm still on cable just now.

Edit: try and fix upside down photo!

[Mod edit (MF): fixed upside down photo - what?]

There isn't actually a lot in the cabinets - they're just a place to join fibre and contain no electronics.

The cabinets are actually obsolete now, having been replaced by ABFATs which are normally underground is possible.

Ahhh, I know the one... once spent 3 days near that when one of the high-voltage cables blew a joint. During a thunderstorm.

I assumed the cops would have sorted that? Other services where onsite briefly also so should be in hand.

At least is wasn't as bad as this one http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=135&topicid=123184 But now im getting worried. The fibre cabinet that serves my place is on a T intersection witch has very bad cambering. If someone fails to take that corner they will probably take out the cabinet instead. And im guessing Chorus won't be happy if I spray paint the cabinet with fluro pink and yellow stripes. to try and make it more visible.
