Hi there,

I am debating on whether or not to order RBI for my house. I currently have an unlimited but slow DSL connection.

However, the caps seem low - I work from home, and I could easily blow through 120 or 200 GB in a busy month.

Does anyone know if these caps are liable to change in the future? They are the only thing really deterring me.

People I know in that situation run both connections, the dsl keeps their things synced, backups happening that dont need to happen fast etc.

The wireless is for them watching netflix, uploading youtubes and all the other time sensitive things. Takes some configuring either with 2 routers and setting the gateways on the different computers to one or the other, or else 2 totally seperate networks that you move between as needed.

Sorry, another question - is there a generally recommended RBI provider? I've looked at quite a few and they all appear to be at the same price point for the same cap.

netspeed have a good softcap so no mega $$$ if you go over, also there are some wisp around the country that have their own network - like in Northland there is ubergroup that has unlimited point to point wireless, speed of 20 down, 6 up for $119

there are some providers that will offer higher caps, ultimate for one

Considering RBI started off at about 15GB/month for over $100 I believe it's bound to improve. I have just noticed some 250GB plans popping up now :)

All RBI products are on VF's network.

If your wanting to shop around, take a look at Spark.

Alternatively, your area may have a local wireless provider (who often offer far more larger capacities)
