This is an utter disgrace and should be investigated immediately and these contractors terminated from their employment.

**Edit** Whoops forgot to add the extra details that were on the post I saw.

If anyone knows a person who works for Chorus could they contact them and request them to ask the two Chorus workers who fly dumped 4 black plastic bags and some cardboard just south of Morere on Wednesday about 3.30pm to come and remove these items. Van rego was MBS910.

Post on the new zealand subreddit. Mainstream media trawls that for article content and will love this.

That is hard to watch... the jerky cell phone footage makes me want to barf.

Still, I did read the thread title and thought it was a piss-take. I've heard of cow tipping, but fly tipping is an absolute minimalist pass time!

I hope they're reported... that's an end game for them.

Hi All, this was brought to our attention yesterday. We can confirm that we've located the techs and a crew has been sent to site to clean up the area. We want to ensure you that we do not condone this type of behaviour from any of our employees and this is being dealt with internally. ^Richard

Disgusting behavior! The police should be involved and the staff prosecuted

Hi @chorusnz thanks for the quick response and the assurance that action has been taken to deal with this. Hopefully this is just the actions of some rogue contractors and nothing more.

Regarding the second part of the comment, can you confirm that the crew in MBS910 are Chorus Employees?

Would be even better if he could confirm the crew were now former Chorus employees.

Fly as in on the fly or while in motion. Fly tipping is a well established term for illegal dumping.

Down the street from me there are 2 sections that haven't been built on as they are too steep. Fly tippers regularly dump rubbish down the bank. The Council clear it up when reported and almost always find something that identifies the tipper. So lazy and stupid.

@Scott3 They are not direct employees but contractors working through one of our service partners.

Due to privacy I cannot divulge further information regarding our actions on this matter. However I do want to reiterate that we do not condone this kind of behaviour by anyone working for Chorus. ^Richard

Unfortunately not the only subbies doing that kind of thing. I've come across a favourite dumping ground of builders and landscapers recently. You name it, it's been dumped there.

This is not the behaviour a patriotic and proud kiwi should exhibit.
