It is at this time of year that I wish to pay my respects to Andrew Hooper of Bushwireless.

I live in Auckland, but in a part where Telecom has underserved the community for years. Due to lack of investment in upgrading exchanges and also the copper lines we, in Parau and parts of Laingholm, have been left with a sub standard phone system and no access to broadband from the major suppliers. It has been brought to our attention also that they have no plans for our area for at least the next 2 years and probably beyond, despite numerous complaints.

So Andrew Hooper is our lifeline providing a very good wireless signal capable of providing speeds of up to 1.9m for a very reasonable price.

Happy New Year to you and your family Andrew, may 2009 bring you more customers and BIF funding for our area.

DJRM

P.S How many of you have had a sub standard of service from Telecom, reply below.
