Good morning all and happy Easter.

Just wondering if the settings mentioned in the image below is the correct configured recommended settings for Sky fibre broadband? asking because it doesn't seem to work on my ASUS ZenWiFi AX Mini (XD4) AX1800 router. I also tried to do a factory reset twice and issue persist. Any help would be much appreciated. Thnx

Hi Sky as with other Vocus based networks will work with either PPPoE or DHCP (IPoE), so simplist is to just use DHCP on vlan10

Cyril

Edit, use the instructions as per the following link as if for Vodafone/Orcon/Trustpower

OK, so looking at the interface you have now posted, it seems it does not have a way to set vlan10, regarless of PPPoE or DHCP. Maybe a firmware upgrade is required.

Nope

It's hidden in the LAN settings under IPTV

ASUS are weird like that.

edit: also because it's an ASUS. I'd highly recommend DHCP instead of PPPoE. PPPoE is a bit garbage.

For some ASUS router like mine (RT-AC68U) VLAN is oddly enough accessible through the LAN tab - IPTV

Sweet, I will have a go and enter the settings mentioned in your link. My modem is definitely updated to the latest firmware (screenshot below).

I'm in the Lan Setting > IPTV and I don't seem to see the vlan10.

Vlan internet should be 10

That's the only thing you need to do there

Yep, happy to enter the value 10 for Vlan but I can't seem to find the Vlan. I did a bit of google search and some say the Vlan is the VID and PRIO (screenshot attached). If it is indeed the VID and PRIO, may i ask what do i enter for these two? and also do i enter it for both 'internet' and 'primary Node LAN Port' or just one of the 2? Sorry for the nuisance, still new

In the line where it says Internet and the vid is empty, set it to 10, job done, prio remains as 0, don't touch the primary node Lan

Internet VID is the VLAN you need.

I dunno why people would buy equipment like this - confusing interface and (as you say Tim) slow?

I've never had an Asus router, but the configuration issues mentioned in here aren't exactly pushing me in the direction of getting one.
Do Sky supply their own router?

Sky provide an excellent wifi6 router with mesh units if required
