Folks, this might not last long, so here it goes. Got word from Maxnet they have a special plan available for subscribers in the Parachute mailing list... But if you like the prices and call them you can get the plan:

10GB FS/FS: $39.95
20GB FS/FS: $44.95

I can not recommend or give references in terms of performance, seeing I have not used their service. But if you think it's a good price you can only get it if you ring them up.

Weird, you told me directly that you do not advertise companies... would be happy to offer a better plan and price to your community if given the opportunity as stated, but your not interested in us I assume :p
Lame.

PS the maxnet plans are 12 month contracts - yuck.

You wanted to start a thread yourself, which is self-promotion and I already said no.

If I post about a deal is my sole decision. Calling it "lame" is a sure way to get banned.

Deal with it.

Plus it is your forum, you can do what you want and you don't have to explain yourself to companies trying to advertise at for free.

I am not trying to advertise from free, I am just learning about the geekzone community, but it seems very buddy buddy and being run like a dictatorship, if threatening to ban me based on fact that I challenge your position - I find this very unfair.
Just my 2cents.

It shows that you don't understand "community". There are rules in place to make sure 60,000 people live in peace.

You are not exempt of following those rules. We enforce rules - that's why we have moderators. We don't have "dictators".

You read the rules and accepted them before posting.

It is no different though to trademe. eg what they says goes and they have the final say.

Bah! there is no comparison to Trademe - Geekzone is waaaay cooler :)

Compare it more to a family..

But back on topic..

DASH MX/MX
100 GB
$139.95
$10.00

I really want someone to try this out so they can tell me what the service is like (and by that I mean the broadband service but also the after sales customer service, because it seems they have a myriad of ways to contact them which is nice for a change..)

I'd be interested if they had a promotion for their larger cap plans, perhaps something even larger than what they already have on their website, say 120 - 150GB.

Agree. I was meaning it is no different to any privately owned website. The site owners can do what they want and have who they want using it, and that is fair enough too.

From what I understand Maxnet's owners have been Christen's since ages ago :) Thats why they do optional content filtering etc for kids.

Maxnet have been around for what must be close to 20 years now, gotta give them respect for them apples.

Tyler - Parnell Geek - iPhone 3G - Lenovo X301 - Kaseya - Great Western Steak House, these are some of my favourite things.

Yeah, I was being a bit tongue in cheek there. Hell's Bells, I even went to parachute a few years ago...
