I'm with telecom broadband and I live in Christchurch.
I don't know if this is one of their campaigns to comfort people in Christchurch, but last cycle, I had uncapped broadband for the whole month, I only realised like 3 days before the new cycle..

Does anyone else know about this? They haven't said anything publicly, but I'm guessing from this cycle, everything would be back to normal..?

Thanks people.

So is it going to continue..? Or stop from now on..?

I wish they gave us more information.. I just checked and all my pals who are on telecom experienced the same thing.

assume it won't continue and you will be safe.
If it does continue then cool, but don't count on it.

do you mean when you log in to telecom's website, you are seeing your data meter as unlimited?

as above said, they won't offer this for long i would thought?

Nah nah, I mean my limit is 40gb but i used 200gb last month.

Normally the speed would go down.. But like I said, all my friends in Chch who are with Telecombroadband, our speed didnt get capped..

as far as i know you don't get speed cap on telecom's 40GB/month plan...
you pay 2$ each additional GB used.. i wish i am wrong, but would suggest you to phone telecom and talk this up...

I believe that you can choose between the $2/GB or a slowdown.

ok, according to their website and number of other telling me that you dont get to choose speed cap on Telecom Pro (40GB)plan,
just looked at total home 40 GB plan, you do get the option to choose speed downgrade.

but this doesn't matter, if you are on a plan that should not charge for extra usages, then you get this as a bonus then.
