Hi, What is the difference between Linksys WRT160N Wireless-N Broadband router and a WAG160N one?

Am looking to get Broadband at home and have no landline.  Could I still get Snap naked with the WRT one not the  WAG one they sell you when to set up with them?

No, WRT160N has no adsl WAN interface.




Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.

Please forgive me, I am currently on a very steep learning curve and risk looking very obtuse to some of you every step of the way.

What i really want to know is, could I buy a used as new wireless router off the net and save myself $100+? Could I get wifi bb with my choice of isp set up and running (i have a macbookpro) with any ADSL2+ capable model router?

Or, considering that I'm just learning about computers/internet could i be setting myself up for a whole lot of grief further down the line if there are any probs/complications?

Also am moving house in about 6 weeks and I know Orcon lets you move once for free but what if I want to move again in the 24month contract? And how much will that cost? I definitely want it ASAP as

Would having my own router and was with, say Snap, make it easier and cheaper to move in the future?

Any advice geekzone?
