Got some love on the shore...

Download has increased 10Mbit from 55 to 65.

Upload should have increased to 30Mbit from 10 based on modem stats, but appears Vodafone are limiting upload speed...

hmm maybe not:

or maybe it ws just DML doing its thing. it doesnt look like you are on 998 yet, it just looks like your SNR has dropped by a heap hence the connection speed.

Yeah just really surprised DLM has given an extra 10Mbit after 13 months with VDSL...
Not complaining at all!

its probably SNR related but i dont think i would count on it to last as that SNR is super low and probably not able to be maintained

1.2dB SNR? How'd you manage that?

maybe he was on 9db snr margin and had a snr drop while he was connecting.

I have no idea. like I said had VDSL for going on 13 months, I've done nothing to change my line at all.

Yeah no. your line is faster because of your snr.

that 1.2dB will drop eventually.

What would have happened, is your line re-synced while noise floor was low so you got a near perfect sync, Your line still sitting at 10Mbit on 17a for the upload is a clear sign, your still on 997

Expect to drop back to 55mbit at some point.

Took me 13 days to go back last time mine synced with a 3dB SNR

Well I am assuming that I have suddenly hit 998 Bandplan..?

Just checked having got home from work and my sync speed has increased from 30.2 to 40.2 downstream with upstream remaining stable at 10.3.

SNR has decreased from 12 to 4 on the downstream but my CRC seems to have gone up a fair whack...

FWIW I am New Lynn/Titirangi area and on Snap.

No, you have resynced with a low SNR by the looks of it.

With a low snr, it is expected to have higher error rates.

post the specturm if you want it double checked, but on 998, max values are 70/30 not the 70/10 you have there.

Cheers - spectrum below.

Wonder if there has been a local power outage or something which has had an impact on my line?

That there is Definitely a 997 spectrum.

Local power outage, would be a good one to cause that to happen.

Both connections here dropped at the same time, and then have come back with better speeds.
