HiTM4N: Just got Naked VDSL from Snap yesterday.
I'm in an old 1957 house with jacks in every room (only got the keys this week).
Haven't got anything plugged into the phone jacks other than the modem, but looks like i might need to disconnect all the other jacks in the house anyway to clean things up.

that downstream doesnt look to delightful, whats your bitgraph looking like?

sounds like your dont have a splitter/direct connection.. iver way one of them will need to be done to pull your stats up

Yup, definitely do this or get a master filter. It sounds like you already know this, but it's worth repeating: You want the pair that ultimately connects to the modem to have absolutely nothing else coming off it (expect if it splits via a master splitter)

How many rooms\jacks does the house have? I suspect you might be looking at a similar before\after picture as in the first post of this thread ;-)

I've counted 5 jacks in the house. 1 in lounge, 1 in dining room and 1 in each of the 3 bedrooms

That looks familiar...Before i moved house and swapped to snap vdsl i was on telstra cable with a 100/10mbps link and could pull the full 12MB/s down from steam servers

That looks familiar...Before i moved house and swapped to snap vdsl i was on telstra cable with a 100/10mbps link and could pull the full 12MB/s down from steam servers

heard quite a few horror stories about that same cable..

So general consensus is to disconnect unused jacks, make sure jack in use is a direct connection? and if planning to have a phone later throw a master filter in?

Yeah it was also pretty shocking some times, used to get about 99% packet loss from my seedbox, was shocking. so far minimal packet loss to seedbox at new house on snap

packetloss? thats horrid! i dont get any from my NL dedis, line maxes with no effort too.. can almost pull files single threaded (that is with modified tcpip settings however.)

@seatil: Sounds like there are still issues on your line. It's possible that your modem is faulty, but it seems unlikely given your symptoms.
