Nice! They're all pretty close really aren't they. I'd be interested to see the comparative error rates over 24hrs on DLM-1 with those! Pity you didn't have a Fritz as well.

stevehodge:
sidefx: It must be the day for DLM changes because I finally got bumped back to DLM4 this morning.

I got a DLM change too. Back to DLM-1. Strangely, my sync is lower than it was on DLM-2: 66688 now vs 69144 before. Thought I'd try untweaked again, so Sam, if you're still tracking this, here's a new entry:

Attenuation, Distance, Sync, Profile, DLM, CRCPM, SNRM, SNRMT
SamF: 9db, 300m, 49.5mbit, 8b, 1, 0.09, 11, 0
HowickDota: 6db, 150m, 62.8mbit, 17a, 1, 0.3, 12?, 0?
JamesL: 12-13db, 400m, 34.2mbit, 8b, 1, ?, 12?, 0?
SteveH: 4db, 130m, 47968, 8b, 1, 3, 11, 0
SteveH: 5db, 130m, 44720, 8b, 1, 0.87, 11, 0
SteveH: 5db, 130m, 44720, 8b, 1, 0.52, 11, 0

SteveH: 5db, 130m, 42296, 8b, 1, 0.14, 13, +2
SteveH: 5db, 130m, 49576, 8b, 1, 6, 5, 0 (weird sync with very low SNRM)
SteveH: 5db, 130m, 50608, 8b, 1, 19, 11, 0 (another weird sync though SNRM is normal)
SteveH: 6db, 130m, 58616, 17a, 1, 0.08, 14, 2
SteveH: 6db, 130m, 69144, 17a, 2, 0.03, 10, -2
HowickDota: 11db, 400m, 38.4mbit, 8b, 6, 0, 12, 0
fellaintga: 8dB, 200m, 55856, 17a, 1?, 0.02, 12, 0
SteveH: 6db, 130m, 63200, 17a, 1, 0, 12, 0

The connection has only been up about 45 minutes and I haven't had any errors yet. No doubt I'll get some eventually.

Might as well add my stats to the list.

I've been a solid 45/10 on DLM1 since day 1 on VDSL. Removed the second jack and gained about 200kbps. Also gained 0.2 CRCPM which was odd. I suspect that's just the increased sync speed rather than any change in the line.

Haven't tweaked SNRMT as I don't want to risk losing DLM1.

SamF: Sweet, thanks mattgreen.

Steve, what's your error rate now?

It's still showing 0 per minute though I've had a total of 15 in the last 24 hours so it should be 0.01.

I'm not too sure how I can tell on my Technicolor modem.

Stats? My previous sync is shown on page 104 of this thread. I've been told the modem doesn't show the stats required to determine my DLM.

That is all there is available with respect to xDSL. Just tried to telnet, the following options are available:

Following command groups are available :

contentsharing firewall printersharing pwr service
config connection cwmp debug dhcp
dns download dsd dyndns env
eth atm expr grp hostmgr
ids igmp interface ip ipqos
label language memm mld mlp
mobile nat ppp pptp ptrace
script sntp software statecheck syslog
system tls tunnel upgrade upnp
user wansensing webserver wireless xdsl

...I tried xdsl, no extended info in there that I could see.
