So it seems like I got the upgrade now. A couple days ago my connection went from 92/25 on average to 115/27 and now its up to 280/100 which is great. But one thing is that everyone is saying Chorus is doing it. I think my fibre installer is ultra fast fibre (Tuatahi) and I've gotten the upgrade.

But the power poll outside my house says Chorus but this is what their website says:

So I'm guessing Tuatahi is doing the upgrade too? I honestly don't know

That's because this thread is specifically about Chorus, that's why everyone is talking about it. I'm sure @amosnz will be pleased that Tuatahi have done this though.

I haven't found anywhere else online that Tuatahi is doing it.

I believe they (TFF) will be/have done the same as Chorus. Probably in batches so some may have been done others will follow soon.

Looks like they are, though:

I'm in Whanganui, so Tuatahi (formerly UFF) is the fibre provider, and Spark is my RSP

I guess I’m halfway there.

I got a download speed of 102 and an upload speed of 104 this morning. It was wireless but I was right under the AP and when I used to have gigabit, this gear would get 3-400 down.

I’ll see what develops in the next few days. Don’t have a driving need for the upgrade anyway…

Well I got the e-mail from Spark saying my plan change had been completed...but I still seem to be on 100/100 like I was yesterday? 🤔

@quickymart Changes are happening over Nov / Dec so you need to really wait

If I got an email saying changes completed, I'd expect it to be 300/100. Either Spark jumped the gun sending before its ready, or something is wrong.

Yeah same, on 2 degrees - getting 102 down (same as always) and around 106-109 down (woop!) via ethernet.  Will see what happens.

Nice to see TFF might be doing it too. I'm on a 200/100 plan with my ISP, but I'm pretty sure everyone at the ISP on a <100Mbit down plan is actually on gig line speed (because its cheaper), but are shaped by the ISP to the plan speed.

My ISP only operates in TFF areas so I'll have to wait for official notification from them.
