ok i was switch 45 minutes ago and i cant work it out , i seem to be getting no errors and i have 0 as my Attainable throughput in the send direction . the received current throughput is bad considering i was getting just over 15000 kbit/s on adsl2. my Line attenuation on adsl was 17dB but now its 23dB , im meant to be on voip but when i try my phone i can hear a dial tone but get fax like noises when i dial numbers.

Ignore the attainable throughput number - it's wrong (at least in the send direction).

Attenuation is typically higher with VDSL than with ADSL. I believe this is because VDSL uses higher frequencies than ADSL - higher frequencies have higher attenuation. Going from 17db on ADSL to 23db on VDSL is not surprising, IMHO. How far are you from the cabinet? You could post a screenshot of the spectrum tab - that is a bit more informative about the line quality.

If you are getting a dial tone on an POTS phone when you are supposed to be naked then you should probably contact Snap to make sure everything has been setup correctly. Do you have a filter? If so then it's probably not an issue, if not then it won't be helping. If you're talking about a VoIP phone then I'm not sure...

Your error rate is low so DLM should eventually try a different configuration for you. This will probably increase your sync speed somewhat. Overall DLM's changes improved the sync speed on my connection by 10-15%.

What stevehode said. The attaintable send throughput will probably go up next time you resync (which will happen automatically early one morning)

While the attention normally increases from ADSL2 to VDSL2, from what I understand the attenuation you had with ADSL2 should have resulted in you being told you can't get VDSL2 after the pre qualification check.

Do you have a splitter/master filter?

its strange, i tried VDSL with Pots with a splitter and managed to get speeds of 16000 Mbit/s but now i have switched to Naked VDSl and voip and  get even lower download speeds , i did do a pre qualification  test and was told i could get speeds of 22000Mbit/s so im well below that and can only recieve incoming calls on VOIP, not going well  lol.

Compare your graph to some of the others posted in this thread - you're completely missing one of the downstream frequency blocks. Like Sam says, time to call your ISP!

I would try to get them to change your port to a different line card as if there wasn't a problem with your old connection then it could be at the cabinet.  If you were getting 15mb down before it was about what I was getting so you should be close enough.

Hmm, still no change on mine and approaching the end of the initial 10 day period. Was hoping it would drop me back down to DLM2, but looks like I'm still on DLM3. Error rate still seems reasonably low (or maybe not? see stats below) and everything else is pretty much the same. no resyncs at all in the last 5 days...

@SKYMAX: Given our sync rates and attenuation look pretty similar, what does your Spectrum tab look like?

Here are mine:

no better this morning so rang Snap and explained and the end result looks like a problem with my wiring and since my speeds are under the 150000 Mbit/s down and 5000Mbit/s up threshold, i dont have to wait the 10 days for them to act  so Chorus, who have already been out and installed a splitter, can come back and find out why its so bad .

If I didn't know better, I'd say that DLM isn't working correctly at the moment!!

Well for my case DLM chose to set my line back to 1ms even with the snr tweaked after 10 days at 8ms, the number of errors has increased but this did not affect the performance in terms of bandwidth.
However I can see that now the snr goes as low as 4dB sometimes so I will see if I do not get any disconnections in the coming days...

@ sidefx
Here is a current snapshot of my status.
It's a bit weird that you would have a dip in your lower frequencies, usually it's the higher frequencies everyone loses.

What did you tweak your SNR to?

I always try to get my SNR to 6dB, when I was under 8ms of interleaving it used to stay there but now with no interleaving it fluctuates between 4 and 6dB during the day.
