Ironically, NowNZ, the only ISP (I believe) to have publicly announced that they would be rolling this out free, is one of the only ones I've not seen any comments here from yet.
Just my luck. (I'm with Now)

Ditto. Guess they just have to wait until Chorus shoulder tap them.

Does anyone know the underlying Chorus profile/plan that the BigPipe 100/100 uses? Not sure if it's technically the Business Evolve, or Small Business Fibre, or if it's a different profile that isn't being upgraded? If that is the case, there is now zero point for that plan at all, otherwise getting 300/300 or 500/500 would be all good. :)
Wondering if anyone saw the above earlier in this thread? Think it got it a little lost.

Yeah no clue. You could try @ chorusnz on twitter.
I just changed back from 1Gb to 100Mb this week, so I'm wondering if maybe my upgrade to 300 has been caught in the crossfire or needs to be done manually or something. I might reach out to Spark and ask.

Just repeating my offer to look into this for you ....
Dave.
My views are my own, and may not necessarily represent those of my employer.

I'm in Whanganui, so Tuatahi (formerly UFF) is the fibre provider, and Spark is my RSP

Thank you :) I've since heard back from Spark and it should be early December, but thank you very much for the offer.

Ayye same. How the heck is your ping only 6? Is it because you're with spark? I'm with orcon and I get 13 to the closest server (inspire Palmerston North)
That's 6ms to Spark in Wellington.
I get 49ms to Inspire in Palmerston North, 25ms to CityLink or Vodafone in Wellington, and just for giggles 42ms to Primo in NP
Thank you Slingshot

Negotiating with Trust Power as my 2 year term is about to end.
They confirmed that their FibreMax price will stay the same at $119 while 300/100 will be $94 per month.
Say that FibreMax getting faster, viz (direct quote)
FibreMax - up to 700-900mbps download speed and up to 400-450mbps upload speed.
This is baffling as that's what they promise at the moment...
Getting 1 gbps down from anything but maybe speedtest, anything Microsoft and Steam is extremely hard.
Also nothing wrong with saying up to and quite frankly 700-900 is a pretty good variance to settle on even under peak constraints because as I said you'd be hard pressed to notice it outside of speedtest and downloading a game.
This peaked at 800mbps and then settled at 780.
I believe most ISPs say up to X speed so what TP is saying is quite reasonable.
Where ever you think $119 is a good price is up to you(it's not, shop around)
