Any Ideas with this:

Rebooted Fritz at 7ish last night and have had no CRC errors throughout the night and today. It then appears to have resynced at about 7:40pm tonight on it's own. But what's with the CRC error count? 370249 per minute but zero in the last 15minutes, and according to the stats I've had zero CRC errors in the last 24 hours.

Am I reading this wrong or what?

Somehow the error counters have ended up negative and this is screwing up the calculations. Rebooting might fix it but be careful of rebooting too often as DLM is sensitive to resyncs. You could just leave it for now and use the graphs on the statistics page to monitor your errors.

If I ever need to reboot these days I leave it of for at least 15 minutes before starting it back up. Snap said this should make DLM not count it as an error. Does this sound right?

Re-cabling today, so I need to disconnect for a couple of hours anyway.

Well, finished the cabling... and if I never have to get up into my roof cavity again it will be too soon. Straight run of Cat6 from the demarc into the back of the router.

Strangely my attenuation is now at 9db, up from 8db... but I think it has fluctuated between 8 and 9 prior to me doing anything anyway.

Sync speed not appreciably better, but was already pretty good.

I've requested a DLM reset and so hopefully it will get me off DLM7 over the next 10 days.

No idea. We've got zero info on what constitutes a "user initiated resync" (which therefore shouldn't be counted by DLM). I guess it might work that way if the designers thought that long disconnects might represent power cuts. I think the best advice is to avoid resyncs as much as possible.

Does a DLM reset usually set you to a crappy DLM and then work it's way down to the better ones?

After re-cabling and requesting a DLM reset I was stable for 38 hours with zero CRC errors, and then it resynced and moved me from DLM7 to DLM8.

In other words, with a DLM reset, do you go backwards before you go forwards?

dlm does do odd things, but a step back to DLM-8, are you sure the reset was actually processed? ild expect you to start on iver DLM-4 or DLM-1..

Yeah honestly doesn't look like you've been reset. typically people start on DLM6, I've not heard of someone starting on DLM7 then getting bounced back to DLM8....

Origin is the biggest speed liar there is. I got much the same speed indication from origin downloading the same files. It's straight up broken.
Why didn't you buy your own key for $5 for charity? Lol
