your specturm cuts of real fast.. could be just the copper in your area i suppose though..

i suspect it would have been a visionstream tech, they are very quick to write off things as "working as it should" "working to the right speed" etc..

if your not cat 5 from the ETP, ild do that, squeeze what you can out..

at the 8db mark, there isnt much difference..

but, chances are you will experience less errors on the .22 firmware..

have a little weekend project, run cat5, then maybe look at resetting your DLM to hit a higher speed profile..

I "upgraded" the firmware on my 7340, totally munted my connection for days.  Even after I changed back to the old firmware it took some time and a port reset to settle down.

hes running the newer firmware, which for you was also a bit dodgy..

so, two part question here...

firstly, would a running average, say every min, of error rates the last min be of any use to anyone?

secondly.. at what point do you think chorus will take this serious? 2000 FECs in a minute.. certainly have noticed my fritz runs on hot side since the errors are starting to step their way right on up..

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

I think they would only take it seriously if you express it in terms of your service being impacted (well that was my experience).

No fault found in requesting that my performance is notably subpar due to errors.

No matter the argument, I keep getting techs who plug in their modem, bring up the sync speeds, and proceed to deny any attempt to discus errors.

That's a hard one.  If you push I suspect they will just trot out the "best efforts" line.

Cheers.

Since the AVM downgrade instructions are also down, is there anything specific about performing a FW downgrade I need to know about?

wow really? whats happening to AVM..

basically, install firmware, reconfigure everything..

you might need to get snap to go over your VOIP (assuming you have snap plus), found a few times now, my settings dont align to where they should.. and need snap to magically fix the password.

if you happen to have a old backup, the process is helped a fair bit.

from the google cache.
