fyi, looks like AVM have changed their support system..

http://service.avm.de/supportformular/en/wsf/FRITZ-Box-7390-int/257:Installing-older-FRITZ-OS-downgrade/cat:49

their ftp is up too.. might grab a mirror of it..

GoneTomorrow: Bugger, want to downgrade to .22, but the AVM FTP site is down. Anyone have any mirrors?

Cheers.

Since the AVM downgrade instructions are also down, is there anything specific about performing a FW downgrade I need to know about?

basically, install firmware, reconfigure everything..

you might need to get snap to go over your VOIP (assuming you have snap plus), found a few times now, my settings dont align to where they should.. and need snap to magically fix the password.

if you happen to have a old backup, the process is helped a fair bit.

I have Naked.

So AFAIK I just need to take note of my DSL username and password, and the ATM and VLAN settings?

indeed being naked makes it easier, you are correct, check your reboot at 2am or whatever it is, flag isnt set too.

Netted an extra 2Mbps and lower CRCPM dropping back to .22. Not bad.

not an uncommon result unfortunately..

One thing I notice with v.51 is that the SNRM is +1 by default, which may account for at least some of the sync speed differences. The problem is that the SNRM isn't adjustable in that version for some reason, even via the GUI. The controls are still there, they just don't do anything apparently.

my bad line..

the firmware was on my fritz for an hour or so, after the 3rd crash (inwhich is why my profile went off DLM-1 in the first place) i passed on my feedback, dropped back to .22..

hopefully at some point i may get access to one, which fixes everything i complained about.

so, interesting development today..

no change of sync rates.. but HUGE change in errors, and SNR..

(1) CRC Downstream:0 Upstream: 0 FEC Downstream: 58 Upstream: 0
(2) CRC Downstream:0 Upstream: 0 FEC Downstream: 209 Upstream: 0
(3) CRC Downstream:0 Upstream: 0 FEC Downstream: 267 Upstream: 0
(4) CRC Downstream:0 Upstream: 0 FEC Downstream: 79 Upstream: 0
(5) CRC Downstream:0 Upstream: 0 FEC Downstream: 34 Upstream: 0

so, whats changed... well... having a lan today, my computer is hard against the incoming dsl line - ild expect this to cause more interference infact, clearly, quite the opposite..

if not that, i suppose it could be the fact that the modem is on the floor rather than the table, maybe internet doesnt like to climb its way all the way up the cable..

im... baffled.. and confused at this development.. surprised DLM didnt freak at the snr drop..

file server lives next to the fritz, maybe it needs to move along the to right next to the jack?

considering the timeframe, im pretty sure the extra human interaction with it gave it a hussle..

its been a little warm today too.. first time iv seen such variance in the temperatures

dips and hikes are when temperatures were peaking and doors were open/closed..

had a bit of a play, checking delta total error counts, every min, couldnt cause my old error rates to return... tried removing interference possibilities, adding it.. everything i can think of.. hopefully its to stay!

maybe i knocked a wire into place or something..

Well that's some good news!

Is that output from the new version of FritzboxLog you're currently developing?
