What firmware version are you running ?

Latest on Snapper's Draytek NZ site, 3.7.8.3. Updated in the hopes of maybe a bug with the syncing or something all of a sudden. But yeah, looks like a year and a half of really good VDSL syncs has ended, at least for now.

That happened to my ex flatmate, just one day went from over 20/10 to something pathetic, got billed $150 for the rude chorus guy to not do anything and blame it on multiples. Still no idea what caused the 10 to drop to 3 or 4. Its worse than my bigpipe line which is way worse than my snapdegrees connection.

Not sure of the chipset, but 'adsl showbins' isn't implemented on the 130 so no way to get the data AFAIK. It also doesn't report Ikonos vs Broadcom at the other end, but I'm just below the downstream rate where it would make any difference anyway.

As your on 17a on a ikanos, i would expect your line to sit near about the 70/30 max profile on them.

7490 Differs a fair bit from 7390, as does the 7340. Not sure on the 7360 off the top of my head though.

ive seen, 6.4, 7, 8.9, 9, 11.9, 12 and a 27dB SNR for people with 998 lines

well 27db means capped.. some of the 9db lines maybe 12db now, or 12db lines 9db..

9db 8b never seemed to happen earlier.

i had a SNR of 3dB for about 3 weeks

Im guessing its just another tool in DLM's pocket for adjusting things on 998 where as 997 it just seemed to be a hard and fast 12dB unless it was like the above a power cut and no one else was connected

seems to be, 17a 12dB profiles. nothing changed there.

8b 9dB profiles, 12dB stability profiles... That hasnt been confirmed yet.

@Jase2985 the reason you see so many variations is resyncing when the noise floor is low, expected when the whole cabinet all comes online at once.

haven't seen any results, but given the increases seen so far, it should be able to outdo adsl on lines that were more marginal significantly.

Exactly this. Given that US0 is now in use...

Im still interested to see what exactly chorus do with the Range increase they rurmored, i suspect at the Very tail end, we would see larger differences between the two linecards much like the upper end.... I don't have the numbers to clearly state that as anything more than an opinion however.
