Yes 17a

seems a little low, but your clearly using every spectrum patch atlest a little bit there..

looks almost like my line in its current state, 17a syncing rather low for whatever reason. i can only assume theres some sort of heavier training or validation period on 17a that it pulls up or something..

Looks like i got bumped to 17A as well. With full flavour and the Innbox modem. Is 10 mb/s still the highest upload speed available even though the attainable is 42 mb/s?

yes, it is. the underuse of the upload spectrum is a topic thats been bought up here a few times..

moreso with 17a, since it adds two upload bands.

SamF: Wow! That is a VERY clean line mate!!

I have NEVER seen a spectrum graph that tidy and you've obviously run a Cat5e cable out your window and hooked it directly to the cabinet which is sitting outside your house! :D

I would bet the house that you will be on 17a very shortly!

Ahh.. It only took half a year btw.

(fyi: it was on page 114)

so, decided to encourage a resync today.. error rate is still settling but sitting at 52Mbit now which is tad better..

i question if maybe my odd upload spectrum was DLM testing out the different parts of the spectrum or something..

seems back to "normal" now.

for whatever reason, my line seems to want to tease the speed, and very very slowly ramp it up..

seems error rates have settled down, they were popping up a few first at sync, but now back to 0.1 CRCPM.

looking at my attainable from the DSLAM (which was 52000 before the resync) its now looking about 63mbit.. (Downstream attainable line rate: 63776 kbps) ITS GETTING THERE! WOO!

Had a resync and went from DLM2 to DLM1 last night. Upload dropped from 3.9 to 3.3mb. The fastest it has ever synced was 22 down and 5.2 up.

You could probably tweak it a bit, I've been stable for months with about 1 CRCPM. Currently my SNRM is 7db.

Since we're all bragging about our connections: 62 days continuous connection @ 54.5 Mbit on 8b (-4db tweak) :D

CRCPM is stable on 3.4:

This is pretty much my max stable connect speed.  I was running -4.5 before, but that started doing weird things after a while!

So you guys who have just been moved to 17a; did you notice any weird things on your connection just prior to the swap?

i noticed a huge odd thing... bunch of people before me got switched up lol.

i suspect they have made changes to how 17a detection works, and it was rolled out to different areas on different days or something.

for an 8b line at 9db, yours is an awesome sync though sam!

@steve

gonna tweak a bit when it settles, but my line still seems to be shifting around a lot right now..

Heh, thanks :)  Yeah, pretty happy with it overall! :D

Now, if someone would hurry up and finish the next version of FritzLog, I might be able to see how long my line is and whether I'm ever going to be a contender for 17a! ;)

Slower and slower as the attenuation increases over time. :(

attenuation shouldnt really be increasing..

with moves to DLM-1 on my old line, i did notice drops in speeds, as did i on this line when i got my errors fixed (i suspect a port reset didnt clear its history and so it was pushing sync rates down to make it "stable")
