kegnkiwi: My young son watched a youtube video mine you it was 45 mins long, not sure on 2 degrees here in russell our mobiles are on 2 degrees but the net connection seems slow.

We live a few km out of Russell on the back road.  I can assure you that there is no 2D coverage either in Russell or Kerikeri (where we visit regularly).  At all times you will be roaming on Vodafone which is why it's so expensive.

There is an internet cafe in Russell with ADSL2+ connection, so why don't you use it for viewing YouTube videos, and restrict use of the USB data stick to web browsing or email only?
