Hey Domoth, I remember you getting fibre a year back and thinking can't be long until I get it in Birkdale. Just checked the Chorus website, not even in the plan that goes to 2016! Guess will give VDSL a go to tide me over until then. Look forward to what speeds you get to the US and Aus.

Hey do you have you gotten around to getting a few speedtests from outside NZ? also looking at doing the switch just depending on connection speeds to LA

Sorry for the delayed response (I blame work and GTA5). Here are the results:

Green = faster
Red = Slower
Orange = No Change

Most local results seem pretty much the same but international ones worry me a bit. Esp the San Francisco one

Hey Monza,

I know a couple of people with VDSL and they say its great. They are in the same situation where they wont have fibre for a few years.

Thanks for the comparison. Would be great to rerun the telecom tests at the same time of day as the Orcons if possible.
