Aaroona:

Really? But doesn't it fall outside of chorus' specs for VDSL?

No master filter as far as I'm aware. This is a rental property though, so not sure, there could be.

If the pre-qual says you're good, then you should be good to go. As above, your sync on ADSL is really quite good, so I think you should be fine on VDSL. You'll have to see what the errors do though. The attenuation cutoff is based on the pre-qual (which is not an actual current measure) and it's at frequencies that don't match what your DSL modem shows, so I wouldn't worry about it.

Mine was pretty close to your attenuation on ADSL, and I had lower sync, now I sync at 36\10 (43\10 with tweak) on VDSL. My attenuation jumped slightly (1-2db I think) with the higher frequencies, but nothing major.   On your line I'd hope\guess you should see a good 30/10

TimA:
Aaroona: Sorry to slightly highjack the thread, but how different is the measurement for VDSL from ADSL for line attenuation?

I'm slightly concerned now because mine is 5dB up and 12dB down and I've just signed up for Snap VDSL.

EDIT: just to correct that...

I dont know the exact difference but my line jumped from 2db to 10db downstream when switching to VDSl. No difference had a line filter etc with ADSL. Its a different technology its hard to compare such.

Hi Tim. I see you work for VF, but to my knowledge they don't offer VDSL, I was curious who you were connected via?
