Really? Its only basic off the shelf adapter. I'm not exactly trying to re-wire the internals of chorus's equipment. The chances of a different PSU damaging their equipment would be pretty low. If it happened I'd pay for it.

It may be off the shelf - but its been matched with their ONT by the LFCs and at around $300 for a replacement ONT - I think you will find buying a shorter extn cord cheaper

May have to go this way with the different connection. Have found a 0.5m extension which I'll velcro up and see If I can hide it next to the ont.

For Chorus, using anything other than the supplied power supply voids warranty.

You can use a 240v UPS and the ONT power supply.
You cannot use a 12V DC UPS.
This is quite clear in our documentation for installers.

Of course you can use a different length cable on the 240V of the power supply.

I'd like to know the plug type too, for my DC UPS when I get around to it. I'm happy to pay for a replacement if I break it, of course.

If you're really that keen, the closest I would say is an 8-pin PCI-e power connection with only the two pins on the left used (up to you to find the polarity):
EDIT: According to diagram on ONT power adapter; top left is negative (PIN5) and bottom left is positive (PIN1) - which is consistent with PCI-e pin-out so you could most likely just use a PC power supply (as long as the remaining 6-pins don't blow up the ONT).

Two of those little female breadboard jumper dodacky connections would probably work just as well:

All of these posts on here about people wanting to do non-standard stuff is making me laugh.

If you want to change something just bloody do it! Just don't tell Chorus and don't post it on a public forum and don't expect sympathy if/when you blow the equipment up.

Why not install a 4-outlet powerpoint?
You have enough room to install it vertically.

That's an excellent install. Looks very tidy.

I hate that big ugly thing Chorus are using for feeding the phone back. It's so enormous!!

Excellent choice of router too :-D

Could go with a piggyback IEC cable.

Or assuming your NAS takes IEC too, a "Y" cable or adapter (F to MM):

However I'd go with @Sideface's suggestion of a 4-outlet powerpoint; or just a double adapter.
