If the armrest is the left armrest, which it appears to be, the chair/sofa is right in front of the wall where the modem is, so the chair is unusable?

It's an old router that would be slow if used on UFB. But it probably doesn't support VLAN tagging.

If it is about the filter being reversed, How is that possible when it would be a BT jack and modems dont have BT jacks.

Also even if it was a filter with a normal RJ11 plug, Wouldnt it still work backwards?

The filter being reversed means your upload and download speeds also get reversed.

If you can't laugh at yourself then you probably shouldn't laugh at others.

Im sticking to mine, the chair is practically right up against the wall that the modem is on. I will make some room at home for the prize.

The DSL is connected to the phone and phone to the DSL port of the filter.

Can you paint the filter red and put speed holes in it to make it quicker also?

No, for that you need stripes, like on a late '60's Mustang guitar.
