the only thing you really loose by trying is your time. You will get new wiring/jack-point from the ETP even if you have to roll back to ADSL.

give it a go, you just never know, what cant it hurt??

Should I have had a reply back from Snap yet or am I being too hasty considering the holiday season?

Went to the Spark store and was told that my line isn't a Chorus line or connected to Chorus gear so to get any type of connection would require me applying for a new line to be connected and pay the associated fees.

Slingshot have been with them for 10+ years. Homeline was previously with Telecom though

FYI I got this VDSL Installed. There were only minor improvements.

ADSL went from 1mbit/10mbit
To VDSL @ 3.2mbit/15mbit

Still and improvement on the upload which is more than twice as fast so still useful. Unfortunately I cant get UFB for a few more years.

This is what you would expect from your previous ADSL attenuation figures.
As stated before, a minimum acceptable VDSL speed is widely considered to be 15Mbps down, 5Mbps up.
So you have the option of going back to ADSL if you want - but I suspect that you don't want to, as you value your improved upload speed.
Enjoy smile

You are probably connected to an exchange where Slingshot have their own equipment installed (an unbundled exchange). This would mean that Slingshot only rent the line between the exchange and your house from Chorus. And that line will then connect directly to equipment owned by Slingshot in the exchange. If Slingshot wont / can't offer you VDSL, Find another ISP that has also unbundled your exchange. Orcon and Vodafone are the most likely options. To avoid haveing to (AFAIK Orcon, Slingshot and Vodafone were the most prolific exchange unbundlers back in the day)
